Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by WorkLife Gym and describes how we handle your data.
We collect the minimum we need to run the community, and nothing we cannot explain. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
- — Account details: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and the display name or pseudonym you choose.
- — Profile details you provide: organisation, industry, seniority and an optional LinkedIn URL.
- — Participation data: the Cohorts and Pods you join, applications you submit, posts and reactions you make, Session attendance, and the short end-of-block questions you choose to answer.
- — Billing data: subscription status and payment identifiers. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- — Technical data: basic logs needed to keep the service working and secure.
Why we use it
To create and secure your account, place you in Cohorts and Pods, run Sessions, send service emails such as Session reminders, take payment where a membership applies, and understand in aggregate whether the community is working.
Who else processes it
- — Supabase, for database, authentication and file storage.
- — Stripe, for payments and subscription billing.
- — Resend, for transactional and authentication emails.
- — Lovable, for application hosting.
Each of these processes data on our instructions only. We do not share your personal data with anyone else except where the law requires it.
What other members can see
Members of a Cohort or Pod you join can see your display name or pseudonym, anything you post to that board, and your participation in that group. Your email address is never shown to other members.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for accounting or legal reasons. Posts you made in a Pod may remain visible to that Pod in anonymised form so that the group history still makes sense.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EU you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict processing. Email hello@worklifegym.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Security
Access to member data is restricted by row-level database rules so that people only see the Cohorts and Pods they belong to. Data is encrypted in transit. No online service can promise perfect security, so please do not share anything in a Pod that would harm you if it were repeated.
